On November 14, 2006, ACJ Board member, Stephanie P. Chang, will be receiving an award from the Anti-Defamation League in Memory of Vincent Chin. The award will be presented at the ADL Annual In Concert Against Hate at the JFK Center In Washington D.C. Other honorees include Ruby Bridges - the first African-American child to desegregate elementary school, Simon Deng - a Sudanese who has worked to abolish slavery, and a Commander from the Haifa Army who is efforts in the Lebanon Crisis earlier this year.
The Anti-Defamation League is a human and civil rights organization, which has supported ACJ's efforts since its' inception. ACJ is grateful for the recognition given to Vincent Chin's memory and hopes that the 2,000 attendees at the ADL in Concert will be inspired by the Vincent Chin tragedy, and continue the good fight for human and civil rights.
